Welcome to the Zen Garden development blog! We will post about the development of Zen Garden here once a week (if possible). You will also be able to post any comments and questions that you might have!
We are a group of game design students in our third and last year, currently we are developming a product for a course that runs to the end of December. For the course we are required to create and release a product. The product that we decided to create is a mobile game/application that focuses on relaxation.
We are looking for people who are interested in the product and also for people who wish to help us during the development by becoming an early adopter. An early adopter is simply someone who play-tests the product during the entire development and provides any feedback and thoughts that they might have. As an early adopter you will be informed about any changes and progress made. If you are interested in being an early adopter you can send us an e-mail telling us that you are interested.
The goal of the app is to create a peaceful environment that you can escape to whenever you want, wherever you are. The app is about creating a relaxing, peaceful and calm environment where the users will be able to place trees, stones, rocks, flower beds, ponds and so much more. It is all about creating your own piece of wonderful art. We aspire to resemble the aesthetic of a real zen garden in this app.
Featuring a hand painted simple visual style with vibrant colors pleasing to the eye, the application aims to bring an aesthetic that can bring the beautiful japanese-styled gardens to justice. Below is our current moodboard that shows the kind of visual style that we are aiming for.
